Mr. Adnan Oktar's live tv conversation with Rabbi Yakov Cohen, founder of the Institute of Noahide Code

Bülent Sezgin: We are going on with our broadcast. Today, we have here with us a highly esteemed guest. I would like to start with introducing our guest. Our guest is Rabbi Yakov David Cohen from New York, USA. He wished to visit you on his way to Israel, insha'Allah. Rabbi Cohen is the founder and the director of the Institute of Noahide Code. Rabbi Cohen's institute is a UN-recognized non-profit organization. In this regard, Rabbi Cohen conducts his activities within the UN's body and holds meetings with diplomats almost every day. He is known for his activities on universal peace education in accordance with the Noahide laws. Rabbi Cohen is also an authorized religious judge. He has written a book on the Noahide Code and hosts his own television program titled "One Nation Under God".

Adnan Oktar: It is a great honor to have you here with us. Your presence made us very happy. You honored us.

Rabbi Yakov Cohen: Thank you for having me.

Adnan Oktar: Your being a Cohen is also another reason for us to love you even more. Insha'Allah (God willing), once we rebuild the Prayer House of Prophet Solomon (pbuh), you will be serving there.

Rabbi Yakov Cohen: If God wills. I would like to share with him my book, "The Divine Image" which is a book on  people being created in the Divine image, which highlights the beauty of life and the love and kindness of God to all people. The organization which I represent the universal Noahide Code represents that message.

Adnan Oktar: Yours is a noble duty. You are at a wonderful place, you provide a great service. We admire your efforts, and we are always ready to support you.

Rabbi Yakov Cohen:  I appreciate it. It is up to each and every one of us to spread the light, to spread the unity. The message of unity. I think it’s important, you know that, your message you are providing - the message of peace; a bridge, it is very very important.

Adnan Oktar: Yes. I thank you very much for your present. It is a wonderful, a precious, valuable gift. It has a beautiful meaning.

Rabbi Yakov Cohen: The light should illuminate everyone.

Adnan Oktar:  Insha'Allah. I thank you very much for your present.

Rabbi Yakov Cohen: That light is a candle, no matter how much you give away one, you light another candle, it goes on forever. And ability to bring the light, to shine the light is really what it is all about. It’s all about bringing the light of Torah, the light of goodness and kindness to all people.

Adnan Oktar: Yes, I read the Torah every day. The Torah is an important Book that every Muslim should benefit from. It is an important Divine Book.

Rabbi Yakov Cohen: You know, the Torah is given for all people. It is given as a light to all people.

Adnan Oktar: Yes, it is true. The Qur’an is in agreement with your statement. God reveals in the Qur’an that the Torah is a divine light, a means of guidance.

Rabbi Yakov Cohen: Right, and also a way to live by. It is called “Toras Chaim”, a way to live by. Instructions for the way on how to live.

Adnan Oktar: Yes. The Torah will provide a deeper level of knowledge and wisdom as well as divulge many secrets to those who analyze it in detail.

Rabbi Yakov Cohen: Yes, and more importantly it will give us light. The interesting thing about the light; that light doesn't create anything. If this room was completely black, you wouldn't know this is a table, this is a chair. It gives you a sense of perspective of where to sit, where to eat. It doesn't create, it gives you an idea of what to do, how to live.

Adnan Oktar: True.

Rabbi Yakov Cohen: Without light, a person stumbles. God doesn't want people to stumble.

Adnan Oktar: True. It is the light that gives everything meaning.

Rabbi Yakov Cohen: That creates the meaning, and more importantly it gives a sense of right and wrong. A sense of how to live by, it is a guide. It allows you, you know, God gives us the ability to shine the light. He tells us "do this, do that, thou shall not kill.” Just to go through the seven laws of Noah more briefly; the first one is to believe in God. The second one is not to curse God [God is beyond that]. Not to kill, not to steal, not to commit adultery. And the final one is to respect all creatures. This is a way, and it is not just the seven; burying the dead, visiting the sick. There is a lot more just like the Torah, it is not just the Ten Commandments. There is a lot more to the Ten Commandments.

Adnan Oktar: Moshiach will imbue us with the love of the Torah. He will reveal the secrets of the Torah. He will gather the people of the world under one brotherhood. He will stop wars. His coming will eliminate all weapons. We believe that all this will happen in this century. And we believe that the Prayer House of the Prophet Solomon will be rebuilt very soon.

Rabbi Yakov Cohen: Right. And the way to, Be’zrat HaShem (God willing) the Rabbi Schneerson explained the way to bring about the Moshiach is to keep the seven laws of Noah; to spread the laws of Noah to all people. This is a way to bring about redemption. When people start to keep these seven laws. It is interesting that Maimonides, who was a great medieval scholar who lived in Spain and in Egypt, brings these seven laws of Noah, just before the laws of Moshiach, about the Beit HaMikdash (Temple of Solomon). And the question is asked why; why is it being about the laws about the Moshiach, about the Beit HaMikdash, about the seven laws of Noah? And the answer is because this is a prelude to the Moshiach, to have these seven laws of Noah. To bring about these seven laws is a way for us humans that we can exist together. Imagine when Moshiach came and no one realized. It would be the biggest embarrassment if Moshiach walked in the door and everyone were busy running around. We have to make the world a dwelling place, make it a home to everyone, like a home, he should feel like once he has come here.

Adnan Oktar: True.

Rabbi Yakov Cohen: Torah and the laws of Noah. This is part of Torah.

Adnan Oktar:  "I will take away the chariots from Ephraim and the warhorses from Jerusalem, and the battle bow will be broken.” King Messiah, your King, “He will proclaim peace to the nations." (Zechariah, 9:10) “… and use the weapons for fuel and burn them up—the small and large shields, the bows and arrows, the war clubs and spears… declares the Sovereign Lord.” (Ezekiel, 39: 9-10)

Rabbi Yakov Cohen: There is also Isaiah who explains, who says that in the time of Moshiach they will take and transform swords, the instruments of war, into plowshares. To bring food for people, they will take the swords and transform them. In chapter two, verse four. They won't teach war anymore.

Adnan Oktar:  Yes, it is true.  "In the last days… many nations will come… They will beat their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will not take up sword against nation, nor will they train for war anymore. Everyone will sit under their own vine and under their own fig tree, and no one will make them afraid, for the Lord Almighty has spoken.” (Micah 4:2 and 4) 

Rabbi Yakov Cohen: Let’s have it happen today. Today. We want Moshiach now. We want Moshiach now.

Adnan Oktar:  Yes. This is what we also pray for. We believe that the time for his coming has arrived.

Rabbi Yakov Cohen: When we reveal the Messiah in us, meaning our goodness, then we bring him in. The Third Temple hasn't yet been build, please God; let it be built today.  It will be re-built. But we have to, like we say to create that, make the world a dwelling place to bring him into it. To allow the Moshiach to come in, and when he walks in through the door, we should say "Oh, welcome". Not just that he walks in the door and everyone will be busy doing their thing.

Adnan Oktar:  Wonderful.

Rabbi Yakov Cohen: Welcome him and look, we have to say "Oh, here you are, thank you for telling us.” You know, that we are ready for him.

Adnan Oktar:  Then, we will be in close touch and full cooperation.

Rabbi Yakov Cohen: And tell him, I am going to serve him in the Beit HaMikdash. Because it says, Beit HaMikdash is for all people.

Adnan Oktar:  Tell him that I will be serving him.

Rabbi Yakov Cohen: No, I'll serve you. You know “Cohen” serves the people.

Adnan Oktar:  True.

Rabbi Yakov Cohen: Cohen serves the people, he does not own property or anything.

Adnan Oktar:  Right. Insha'Allah, we will see those beautiful days together.

Rabbi Yakov Cohen: Amen.

Adnan Oktar:  The smell of the sacrifices will reach as far as Jericho. God's name will be spread far and wide.

Rabbi Yakov Cohen:  All right. It serves as a beacon, it says the light of Beit HaMikdash, when the Cohen lit the Menorah, it shined for everyone to see. The whole world saw it.

Adnan Oktar:  You, the Cohen, will have many great tasks to carry out there.

Rabbi Yakov Cohen: Yes. I am only one of many; I am one of many. You also have a very important task by spreading the light and getting the world ready for that time. By you spreading the light and showing that the message of love, the message of Torah and the message of light that brings the Moshiach closer.

Adnan Oktar: We will do so with an ever-growing ambition and determination. Insha'Allah.

Rabbi Yakov Cohen:  You go from strength to strength.

Adnan Oktar:  We will definitely see him, insha'Allah.

Rabbi Yakov Cohen: Be’zrat HaShem. Everyone has to believe. They have to find the common ground [proper faith], which the laws of Noah [the measure of a proper faith] are about. But believing [in God], this is what it is all about. And believing is a unity factor. It’s about light [understanding]. It’s about bringing light in unity.

Adnan Oktar:  I am a Noahide, a Muslim and a Noahide at the same time. I am a Muslim and an Abrahamic, I am a Muslim and a Mosawi.

Rabbi Yakov Cohen: Right. Everyone comes and, I tell him a joke that the Muslims and Christians, and everyone even Buddhists all took from Abraham.

Adnan Oktar: Yes.

Rabbi Yakov Cohen: Abraham's message was first of all to welcome people into his home. He welcomed them with food, drink and everything. And then he asked them to make a blessing. He invited everyone. And all people; we all come from Noah, we all come from Abraham.

Adnan Oktar:  Yes, the Brahmans derive their name from Abraham.

Rabbi Yakov Cohen: Tell him, he doesn’t have to become Jewish, he just has to be a righteous gentile. You get the same, a united world, the world gets-becomes united.

Adnan Oktar:  Those who reject the Torah cannot be a Muslim.

Rabbi Yakov Cohen: It comes from the Torah.

Adnan Oktar:  Yes. Those who reject the Torah cannot be a Muslim.

Rabbi Yakov Cohen: Right, because the religion is based on the Torah.

Adnan Oktar:  In the Qur’an, the Torah is presented as a divine light and God teaches the believers to consult, seek the guidance of the Torah on many topics. God gives reference to the Torah.

Rabbi Yakov Cohen: Tell him, we are here to spread the light to all people. And tell him, I invite him to come to the United Nations. And spread that message to all world, because all the nations meet in one area.

Adnan Oktar:  Yes, hopefully we will see that day, insha'Allah. I really want that.

Rabbi Yakov Cohen: Tell him, today.

Adnan Oktar:  Insha'Allah.

Rabbi Yakov Cohen: It says, "Peace is raised up of God's name". ‘Sholoim’ is God's name. And ‘Sholoim’ means complete. And the completion is that God is willing to raise His name for peace. When there is a suspicion of a woman and a man, you know, husband and wife, they used to raise God's name. It’s called the "Sotah", they drink it and they used to find out. They used to take God's name and they used to raise His name for the sake of peace.

Adnan Oktar:  Yes, it is true.

Adnan Oktar:  Psalms 133:1-3; "How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity! It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron’s beard, down on the collar of his robe. It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For there the Lord bestows His blessing, even life forevermore."

Rabbi Yakov Cohen: Yes. The beard of Aaron.

Adnan Oktar:  Yes. When Moshiach comes, we will fill the shofar (horn) with holy oil and pour it on his head. From there, it will flow down to his beard, and then his clothes.

Rabbi Yakov Cohen: Right. Tell him, make Moshiach came quicker by spreading these laws, making a big movie and having every one keep it, realizing it.

Adnan Oktar:  It is possible. It will definitely happen, because it is preordained in destiny.

Rabbi Yakov Cohen: This is what the world has been waiting for. The whole Torah was given for peace and for Moshiach. All the laws, all the things were given for peace and for Moshiach.

Adnan Oktar:  We will witness this within the current century, but we will increase our efforts even more.

Rabbi Yakov Cohen: Say today, today. We want Moshiach now.

Adnan Oktar:  Masha'Allah, this is wonderful. That is the right way of saying it. And as we close our program, we would like from him one last beautiful statement for us to benefit from. He can read from the Torah or say a prayer for the coming of Moshiach.

Rabbi Yakov Cohen:  Okay. Besides prayer, we pray every day three times a day. 

Adnan Oktar:  That is very beautiful.

Rabbi Yakov Cohen: We have to also do. Doing means spreading the word.

Adnan Oktar:  Jews praying three times a day for the coming of Moshiach. We should pray as well. Muslims should pray as well.

Rabbi Yakov Cohen: Right.

Adnan Oktar:  If it is possible, we would like you to say that prayer in Hebrew so that our brothers can hear.

Rabbi Yakov Cohen: (In Hebrew) Ani ma'amin, Be'emuna shelema, Beviat hamashiach ani ma'amin, Beviat hamashiach, ma'amin, Veaf al pi sheyitmahmeha, Im kol zeh, achake loh, Ani ma'amin. (I believe with complete faith, In the coming of the Messiah, I believe, Believe in the coming of the Messiah, And even though he may tarry, Nonetheless I will wait for him, I believe.)

We believe, we yearn and we wait. But we also at the same time have to do.

Adnan Oktar:  Yes.  We have now reached the time when our prayers will be accepted. May God further and strengthen our efforts. You have delighted us with your visit. Thank you very much. You honored us. We love you dearly, very much.

Rabbi Yakov Cohen: Thank you for having me.

Adnan Oktar: Hopefully, we will elucidate the United Nations about this and herald the coming of Moshiach, insha'Allah. I hope that this momentous glad tiding will make a tremendous worldwide impact, insha'Allah. And bring the world together in brotherhood. We will continue our efforts with all our strength and efforts. We will be in touch with you and strengthen our bonds of brotherhood.

Rabbi Yakov Cohen: On the wall of the United Nations, on the Isaiah Wall, which I said it writes, "The swords will be transformed into plowshares." It’s on the wall. It’s called the Isaiah Wall.

Adnan Oktar:  This is a blessing from God. This is a marvel of Moshiach.

Rabbi Yakov Cohen:  We are sitting here. I would like to show this footage also on my TV show in New York as well. I have a TV show as well.

Adnan Oktar: It would be wonderful.

Rabbi Yakov Cohen: I think it is important that everywhere around the world we use the media, utilize the tools to spread the word of goodness and light.

Adnan Oktar:  Indeed, we must use all the means God granted us to the full extent. I thank you. I send my respects and regards, my love to all my Jewish brothers.
