Dr. Fazale Rana : “Information in the Cell ”

- Dr. Rana, continuing on the complexity of the cell; the information that the DNA holds, how can so much information be packed in such a small place, and this information is used only when necessary?

- The amount of information found in DNA is extremely vast. It's much greater than even the most expansive volumes of encyclopedia. It's just mind-boggling to think about the information content in DNA. And what's even more remarkable to me is the way in which the cell's machinery manipulates that DNA. The DNA information is digital in nature. In fact the cell manipulates that DNA in the same way computer system manipulates a digital information and that similarity to me points to the work of a mind.
